Detroit’s International Airport Selects InterSystems

Detroit, Michigan - InterSystems has been awarded a contract to install its world-class product of RapidFIDS, Flight Information Display System (FIDS), at Detroit's International Airport (DTW). DTW presently ranks in the country's top 20 busiest airports for Domestic travel, 36Million PAX, served since January 2007 and is considered the 10th busiest airport for International travel.

 

InterSystems is partnered with Ferndale Electric for this turnkey project.

 

The scope of the project includes the delivery of:

  • The latest RapidFIDS on Linux,
  • LCDs, LED Boards, CRTs, GMC display controllers,
  • Linux servers, Workstations, Tugman Keypads,
  • Interface to CUPPS, Clock, and airlines,
  • Installation and integration services.
  • All necessary training and ongoing maintenance services.

 

The solution is based on our RapidAIMS foundation, enabling the airport to expand into the fully-functioning Airport Operational Database (AODB). The software includes the new state-of-the-art Flight Manager user application.
