InterSystems has launched RapidGATE, a new GMS (Gate Management System) solution for use with the Rapid AIMS airport operational database (AODB) system.
Developed in partnership with current and future customers throughout the USA and Australia, RapidGATE simplifies the task of updating and managing future airport resource allocation. More importantly, its form and function are thoughtfully designed to provide greater airport efficiencies for the reality of changing airport operations and resource scheduling.
Previously, for example, if a departure flight was delayed and the airline wanted to extend the flight's check-in times, the airline, or airport operators had to update the flight record, then separately locate and update each of the ticket counter records. Now with the RapidGATE solution and its streamlined flight management capabilities, the operator can delay the flight on all ticket counter displays and change their records all at once with an easy to use GUI.
RapidGATE features:
- MapView provides instant detailed information with only a click of a mouse on a unique customized airport graphic, allowing for various layouts and aircraft sizes.
- A rules-based GUI for guided and efficient allocation management of ticket counters, gates, and baggage carousels.
- An intuitive Gantt chart style that allows for drag and drop “what-if” scenario pre-planning before implementing the update to related systems i.e. displays, baggage carousels.
- Categorized flight data and easily searchable records.
- Centralized administration of security, data layout, and user's language.
It runs on both Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2000 workstations.
RapidGATE was launched on November 1, 2005. For more information, please contact an InterSystems sales office.
